    The last morning of our trip started rather lazily. We did not have any immediate plans and did not really do much research about the Lake Placid area, aside from knowing that it’s nestled in the middle of Adirondacks so it should be pretty when served the right way.   2. Hot Air Balloon Festival in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

    A couple of years after first learning about the annual balloon festival at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu we finally reserved our tickets for a flight this year. We booked a Saturday evening flight and left Toronto on a Friday afternoon. We left fairly early in the day and had plenty of time to take slower country roads and enjoy the beautiful summer afternoon on the road. Continue reading…


  3. Motorcycle ride through Kawartha Lakes

    It was a boring Saturday afternoon of September 17th when we decided to take a ride on a motorcycle to someplace picturesque. The area in the Kawartha region promised to be a good choice, as it’s full of lakes, rocks and rough vegetation. For me, it’s the epitome of “picturesque” as far as Southern Ontario is concerned.
